GSS have a wide range of expertise in the sport, leisure and community sectors, having delivered projects ranging from multi-million-pound sports and social buildings to hotel restoration, sports halls, all-weather pitches, social hubs, concert venues and community facilities.
Sports and leisure facilities can be complex by nature, especially with the increasing demands from legislation and the critical gaze of a discerning public requiring greater attention to detail if a successful outcome is to be achieved.
The integration of the design of the building and the multiplicity of internal systems which are required to achieve fitness for purpose and ensure public safety, require expert management and co-ordination of all members of the design and construction team.

Education is a key sector for GSS and, as a result, we have delivered multi-million pounds worth of projects in this sector, ranging from nurseries and schools through to further and higher education institutions. We provide professional advice to a large number of local authorities, registered providers and developers, assisting them with the development of private, affordable and rental residential schemes, as well as large one-off speculative schemes for private clients.
Through our combined experience and expertise in the residential sector, we also have an excellent understanding of the funding streams that are available and have delivered many projects that have been funded through the Homes and Communities Agency.
In addition, GSS have also acquired many years of experience in the higher education student residences sector and we provide our clients with robust, full cost management services, as well as project managing the entire scheme from feasibility through to post completion.
This is reinforced by the many schemes that we have undertaken for Oxford Brookes University, The University of Northampton and Moulton College, for example.
