Work Starts on Site for New Nursery and School in Milton Keynes

We are delighted to share that work has started on site for a new nursery and primary school development in Milton Keynes.

Appointed through MKC’s Professional Services Framework, we are working as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on this scheme to help build Watling Primary school; a 3-form entry primary school and 39-place nursery.

CGI & Design: Synergy Architects

Milton Keynes Council, in partnership with the Denbigh Alliance Trust, are seeking to provide a new, inclusive and sustainable primary school and nursery to support the growth of new housing developments in the Western Expansion Area of Milton Keynes. Students will be able to attend the same school from nursery age through to primary and feed into a secondary school within the same development area.

The role of the school within a newly developing local community is important, and Watling Primary will be capable of being used outside normal school hours throughout the year by the community, providing a facility that is accessible and welcoming to all users, enabling the school to function as a hub for the community.

Partner at GSSllp, Paul Vega, comments, “We are pleased to be working on this scheme and hope that Watling Primary will provide an inspirational environment for its students to grow and learn. Our recent framework success has led us to this project, and we hope to be involved with many more important projects such as this one over the coming years.”

We are working alongside Willmott Dixon Construction and Milton Keynes Council to deliver this exciting project.
