GSSllp thoroughly enjoyed attending the recent Golden Bolt ceremony on site at the new nursery and primary school development in Milton Keynes!
Following the start on site in April, Willmott Dixon have made fantastic progress on the build, with the final bit of steel frame being secured recently. To mark the occasion, the entire project team and representatives from Milton Keynes Council enjoyed a sunny morning visiting the site, with the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Amanda Marlow, tightening the final bolt in the steel. The project team were also given the opportunity to sign a piece of the steel, forever marking their involvement in the project!
Once complete, the new, inclusive and sustainable 3-form entry Watling Primary School and 39-place nursery will support the growth of new housing developments in the Western Expansion Area of Milton Keynes. Students will be able to attend the same school from nursery age through to primary and feed into a secondary school within the same development area.
Appointed through MKC’s Professional Services Framework, we are working as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on this scheme alongside Main Contractor, Willmott Dixon, The Denbigh Alliance and Milton Keynes Council.
