Great progress has been made on site at Darwin Green in Cambridge, with the development now starting to take shape! We are delighted to be working as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyors on this scheme.
Main Contractor, Kier Construction, are moving forwards with the construction of the £15m Commercial Centre, with key elements developing on site such as the frames being constructed to first floor level. The development will consist of affordable one and two-bedroom apartments, a public library and a retail parade including various commercial units as well as a health centre, community rooms and sports pavilion.
The Commercial Centre is an important part of the wider site, located to the north of the city which is being delivered for Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. The sustainable development will be in keeping with the local area, incorporating a park in the centre of the development that accommodates both informal open spaces and outdoor sports facilities, along with other recreational facilities throughout the site.
