Paul Vega, Partner at GSSllp, has been elected as Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
As Trustee, Paul will be a member of the board who has the independent control and legal responsibility for the Institute and must ensure that the Institute is acting in accordance with its objectives as laid out in the Royal Charter. He will be instrumental in setting policy, oversee budgets and finances, and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with the legal requirements of a charity.
Speaking of his appointment, Paul said, “I applied to become a Trustee because I want to make a difference. I look forward to the opportunity to apply my skills, drive, and passion towards the institute to help steer it to even greater success.
I am excited to be able to contribute to a better, more sustainable, inclusive and safe construction industry and to encourage others to be part of the journey through the promotion of the benefits and rewards of membership.
I’ve had the privilege of promoting and developing the CIOB at a local level and am pleased to now have the opportunity to take what I have learnt and apply it at a strategic and global level.”
